STEVE HYDE (Cinematographer) is a Seattle-based cinematographer known for his teamwork on human interest films, commercials and documentaries.  He specializes in small team approaches to documentary.  His company Steve Hyde Films is dedicated to supporting the work of production companies, non-profit organizations and independent artists.  After years of working with Indigenous peoples, he has recently co-created dozens of videos with Longhouse Media.  Those films include documentaries at Standing Rock and commissioned films for several Native advocacy groups and civic PSAs.  His distinctive cinematography for PBS was recognized with an Emmy nomination in 2018.  His short film SHIKASHIKA won multiple “best short film” awards and was selection for the Documentary Fortnight at the Museum of Modern Art.
